About Me

Welcome to Be.Yoga
Be.Yoga

Kristin Clark Cork, E-RYT 500 + My name is Kristin and I am the Owner + Founder of Be.Yoga. The name Be.Yoga sprung from my desire to communicate to others that my intention is to share what it is to Be.in relationship with various yoga and wellness practices, unique in the way they will live within each one of us. Since 2000 I've guided over 19,000 hours of Yoga, Wellness + Meditation practices in the U.S. & Abroad in 17 countries.

When I took my first yoga class in 1995, I realized yoga would be forever a part of me. It quite literally changed my life and I knew from that day I wanted to share with others the profound effects I felt. Five years later, I taught my first yoga class. I feel that Yoga offers us countless tools to wipe clean the windows of our heart and mind and inspire us to fully live life now! Being present we can consider the power of the pause and to practice letting go of what is ready to be let go of as well as let in what’s ready to flow in. This can be as simple as rest, as magical as seeing the world around us anew.Be.ing in community both on and off the mat each person that entrusts me with their time, energy and resources will be respected for who they are, wherever they are on your journey. You’ll find while I am passionate about the poses, I am even more so about the people I practice them with and the world we live in traveling in meaningful and sincere ways. Outside of my regular classes, I have had a consistent international presence since 2009 leading cultural and wellness retreats, teacher trainings and workshops. I love researching and exploring both on and off the well worn path and have a passion for fostering connections along the way thru meaningful travel. I am steadfast in the mindset to partner with organizations that prioritize community, collaboration, education and the environment. My teachings are varied! I have been incredibly fortunate to study with my teachers for the last 25 years, each experience with them ads more layers of love into my yoga practices and teachings. There are 3 styles of yoga that I thread through my teachings. Erich Schiffman's book Moving Into Stillness ended up in my luggage somewhat randomly ( but not :) when I was moving to California although I did not know of him or his teachings. 1 year later I landed in his yoga teacher training class although I had never met him and I remembered his book which had been packed away since my move. Clearly it was not a coincidence that his book found me and I followed the energetic breadcrumbs! His philosophies and teachings have been monumental in my approach to life on and off the mat. Erich's teachings of being ”on line” all the time takes you out of habit mind and into "life live now". His Freedom Style approach to yoga empowers the inner teacher who is you, me, each of us.

This resonates with me as almost every person I meet longs to cultivate a more meaningful relationship with themselves and others. It's about really listening inwardly for guidance, finding the space between each breath, the pause between each thought and slipping into it whether practicing, meditating, driving, anything at all! Taking our inner wisdom and acting upon it. Attuning ourselves to our needs of the moment, day, week, month, being connected for the benefit of all beings. My trainings with Ganga White, Tracey Rich & Shiva Rea in the Vinyasa flow lineage translates for me as meditation within movement. It’s where our physical form meets our emotional and intellectual bodies. Being connected to the breath throughout the practice keep us present, alert and awake. It guides us to the subtle micro adjustments our body may need - posing and reposing... analysis in action where we find yin and yang meeting. Flowing is something I take from my practice off the mat and into the world… it’s a practice to stay fluid, inhaling life's inspiration, exhaling the debris. Where the breath is stuck, so is life.My studies with Tias Little over the last 20 years have shaped my inquiry of things when they are slowed down. As I dare to go slowly, to look thru the lens of anatomy and energetics, to inquire what's stored where in the body and how to move thru our many layers with more ease and steadiness is profound. I am grateful for his grounding, introspective approach. I love incorporating the SATYA yoga I have learned from him every.single.day and have found the practices potent whether recovering from injuries, slowing down after a long day of parenting as well as aging with the least amount of discomfort possible!Last but not least my yin practice deepened while living in the high mountains of Colorado and I integrate its physical stillness and profound intuitive inquisition into every practice. teaching thru so many different stages in my life, it is clear how our issues can be held in our tissues! Thank goodness for movement and for stillness. I love helping other customize their alignment to feel at home in their bodies and my classes are more energetic and creative in the morning and wind down as the day does :) In addition to the 3-4 cultural, yoga + meditation retreats I offer each year, I alsooffer deeper dives! “ Be.Within” is a 100 hr Yoga Immersion that I created as well as "Be.Teaching from Within” a 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training and last but not least an advanced studies training for teachers and long time practitioners, "Be.Embodied".Whether class with me is 10 minutes at home, the studio or abroad you’ll find meditation of movement and action in stillness are the woven fabric of my practices and my teachings. Every time I enter the sacred space of my mat, I feel so grateful knowing the shift that can occur in just a few short moments of conscious reflection.

I believe it's our collective efforts that make all the difference, The outer weather that influences us is always changing but our true inner essence is steady and unshakeable.I hope to have the privilege to share Yoga my entire life and I hope to meet you on the path in the flow of it all,Ommm Shanthi, Kristin With love and gratitude!
